First, we had a request for a birthday cake for a little girl who wanted surfboard and a monkey both incorporated onto her cake! So what's better than a surfing monkey?!
Second, a friend from my church is having a baby (due exactly 3 weeks before I am) and we hosted her first baby shower for her this past Sunday. The bedding for the nursery is sooo cute, but very intricate. Since I was doing this cake all by my lonesome, due to Heather's engagement lunch with their families, I had to simplify it just a bit! Yes, if you didn't know Heather is engaged and I'm super excited for her... though her 1 1/2 hr commute to do cakes isnt' going to be much fun for her!! haha, jk!
