Safari Cookies and Snowman Cake

We (mostly Heather) decorated these cookies for a first birthday party. They turned out really cute!


We hosted a "Classy Confections" Jewelry Swap for Christmas and here are the goodies. The snowman cake was our center piece and he was a lot of fun to do! We also came up with the idea of making mini Christmas cookies with "dip" that was icing - yummmmy!

3 New Confections!

Sorry it's been a while since our last post, so we have a few things to add.

First, we have a Power Rangers birthday cake that we did for the son of a teacher friend of Heather's.

Next, we have a cake for a baby shower. For this cake, we got to try out a new recipe for a Strawberry cake and if you ever want it, let us know b/c it's great!

Lastly, this past week, we made Christmas cookies for a friend of Bonnie's to take to her nursing friends at the hospital. We did eat a couple of the "messed up" ones ourselves... if you haven't tried our cookie recipe you are truely missing out - just ask Natalie!

Kirkley and Robert's Party

We helped to throw a party with our friend Meredith for our friends Kirkley and Robert last weekend. It was tons of fun and we were excited to make a cake for the event. It was a bit strange being at an event where everybody is eating a cake we made. Made us a little nervous, but it went well!! There last name will start with a "R" so that is why we put it on the cake. Meredith is a photographer and she tooks these awesome pics! Volleyball and Baby Shower Cakes

Well, it has been awhile since our last update - so here it is! About 2 weeks ago we made a volleyball cake for the Southside Christian girls. You can see it below! It was one of the ones we have had the most fun doing so far!

This past week, we did a cake for a baby shower. Below is the cake we did with blocks on top that have the baby's initials on them.

Wedding Shower Cupcakes and Bunco Cookies

So we had a request for 50 cupcakes for a wedding shower this past week. This past Sunday, we got together and created all of the flowers you see on top. They were royal icing, so they set up like candy.

Bonnie also had a Bunco night with some friends this past Wednesday. She created these dice cookies for the event!

Home Improvement Shower

We got asked on facebook to do a cake for Bonnie's cousin's shower. They were having an home improvement shower and wanted a cake that centered on that theme as well as tied in Allison's colors of purple and green. This cake was for 60ish people, therefore being the largest cake we'd attempted! We made 4 9x13 cakes - 2 being almond pound cake and 2 chocolate. This allowed the cake to be two flavors. This was def. an experience for us, but we had a great time doing it.

Getting Started!

We are Classy Confections aka Bonnie and Heather! We have decided to start spreading the word about our cakes, cupcakes, and themed parties. We took a cake class a little over one year ago and enjoyed improving our cake decorating skills! Here are a few of what we have done (no particular order):

We would love to get into themed parties. For instance, we did a party for Bonnie's sister's graduation. Since she graduated in Ag Ed, we made all of the treats "ag" related.
